I’m carrying on with my positives for this month during the coronavirus lockdown. I’ve had some lovely ones this month and I’d love to hear yours.
Another socially distanced meet up
We were able to meet up with my mother in law again for a lovely socially distanced visit in a local park. Although it was busy, it was beautiful weather and there was plenty of space to keep socially distanced from others. We enjoyed sitting in the sun, chatting, and even fed the ducks at the duck pond. Great fun and a lovely uplifting evening.
Receiving pride t-shirts in the post
As I’m sure most of you know, it’s pride month! I treated myself to a couple of pride t-shirts and they arrived in the post. I love them so much, they’re cheerful and they made me smile. Plus I was able to support small sellers which always makes me feel good.
Hearing from an old friend
I heard from a friend I haven’t heard from in a long time. Although we don’t talk often, I care very deeply about her and I’m so glad that she’s doing well. It made me happy to hear from them.
A bird using our birdhouse
We added a little birdhouse to our ‘fake balcony’ (we decorated our fake balcony with bird feeders and artificial plants during lockdown since we don’t have a garden). We weren’t sure if any birds would actually use the birdhouse but I saw a little bird flying out of there the other day and it was very exciting.
My bunny enjoying cuddles
My rabbit is getting very old. We’ve had him a long time and we love him dearly. He’s a wonderful bunny, and although he’s very affectionate (nose bumps, asking to be petted, seeking attention) he hasn’t always been the biggest fan of cuddles. In his old age, he’s getting much more cuddly and actually seeking out real snuggles. This makes me smile and it’s an honour to be able to give him real cuddles.
More amazing hikes
We’ve continued enjoying some amazing hikes, especially in the nice weather. We’ve seen all sorts of wildlife: birds of prey, deer, ducks and ducklings, our friend the swan and her babies, and even sheep and cows in one of the fields we hike through. It’s been a pleasure and has helped me to keep my mood stable.
