May: Positive’s During Coronavirus Part 2

I’m back with my second round of positive’s for the month despite these hard times. I’m so enjoying sharing moments of joy with you and I hope you’ll leave your own positives in the comments.

Being able to skip

I’ve been on a fitness journey despite my physical challenges (fibromyalgia and arthritis) for a couple of years now. I’ve come really far but it’s still tough, and it’s certainly still a journey. For the first time this month, I tried skipping with a rope. I managed to get 4 skips in a row without getting the rope tangled around me. I didn’t think I would be able to manage any, and I’m really proud of myself.

Skipping update: As the month is progressing, I’m getting increasingly better at skipping and my confidence is growing.

Sending gifts to loved ones

I was able to send some nice gifts to family and friends and it brought them lots of joy. It’s such a pleasure to see them smiling.

Finally being able to go hiking

Yesterday the rules in Scotland finally allowed us to go out in the car to a park for exercise (still locally but that’s fine by me). It’s the first time we’ve been in the car since lockdown began, and the first time we’ve been able to get to the countryside and out of the city. It was simply heavenly and I am very, very grateful that now we can do that. The dogs were also extremely happy and we all had a lovely time.

A beautiful gift from a friend

My best friend in the world lives many miles away. She’s a nurse and I’m so proud of her and all she’s doing in these tough times. She sent me the most lovely package of suncatchers to decorate, and it made my weekend. What a cheerful, thoughtful parcel to receive.

New birds at the feeders

We’ve had some lovely new birds at our bird feeders. They seem to be getting busier all the time and it’s such a pleasure and an honour to watch. It really makes me smile every day.

I’d love to hear what your positives have been this month.
