    This reminds me of Bertrand Russell’s (the renowned British analytic philosopher) rejection of Judeo-Christianity because, after reading the Book of Job, he couldn’t get behind a God that killed Job’s family just to teach him the lesson of humility. Russell was no dummy, and neither are the critics of “Beauty and the Beast,” but one has to wonder how they can so easily blind themselves to the symbolic language and insist on a behavioral critique?
