Articles like these leave me feeling envious of those who can have good healthcare. It is a good article and I agree with it but I would like to see one for those of us who have no choice but to see an incompetent psychiatrist who doesn’t care about her patients at all. I do not live in a city with others to choose from. I’m stuck with the appalling psychiatrist in my town and am barred from seeking help elsewhere. Also I’d benefit greatly from a good therapist but therapy is for the wealthy. Some people seem to have insurance that covers such things but many don’t. I am on disability and cannot afford it so I am stuck with just drugs that don’t work and a really bad psychiatrist who luckily quit, but then there wasn’t another one for 4 years and I had to do without. We don’t all live in cities with lots of choices and money. Then I read about how important it is to have a good psychiatrist and therapist and I feel doomed. Good article, though. I just wish I could have such advantages.
