    It helps! 🙂

One of the ways I fight stigma is to live a full life while letting people know I have a mental illness. The fact that this is possible speaks loudly.

I have failed miserably to build a support system even though every body says it is essential. I seem to have run off all of my family save for one brother. Even he has trouble forgiving me horrid emails on occasions. I did go to several peer groups at a clinic but got bored with all of them because all they wanted to talk about was various topics and I have had bipolar 1 longer than most of the people have been around. I have no friends who are interested or care enough to be interested in my illness. In fact,I have run into so much hostility and rudeness I now never admit to having bipolar. I joined an online group a couple of years ago but they experience so many technical difficulties it is near impossible to get your point across. So here I sit, painting and reading and generally being alone with my beloved cats.
