Stand Up For Yourself

standing womanMy boyfriend and I had our first big fight this weekend. The fight ended with me telling him to leave my home. There were some apologies and we patched things up the next evening.

Good blog! Stigma is a subject near and dear to my heart. I hate it. Bipolar is one of the invisible illnesses in a way, much like diabetes. I have educated people in the past, but I judge each person on a case by case basis. I’ve been burned quite a few times by people using bipolar against me and to hurt me or anger me. I immediately cut them out of my life now and I never look back. Who needs people like that? Not surprisingly (for me), most of those have been family. One was a boyfriend, whom I told up front. I had one episode and that was the end of the relationship. He’s long gone now. Just a few have been so called friends. Sadly, we have to be careful who we disclose to.

Stay as strong as you are!
