One thought on “How to Help a Child Who is Scared of Halloween

The whole thing is such a waste of time and money anyway. If you can afford it, why not take them out to an overnight stay at a hotel with a water park? Or if it’s on a school night and you can’t get away, go bowling or to the movies. Take the money you would have wasted on that crappy costume, those gaudy decorations, and that overpriced candy, and spend it making real memories that won’t scare your kids.
My kids love Halloween so I just shut up and went along with it when they were younger (thankfully they’re past all that crap now) but I would have gladly ignored it all and done something different if they’d wanted to.
