How does one not take a false accusation personally or literally? I am not understanding how a person should react to a false accusation, unless it’s so far out there it’s laughable or so out of character for you that you sit there questioning what you’ve just heard. More often than not false accusations are aimed directly at you by the accuser & the content is a specific action or deed done. After many years with a covert narcissist , I have tried several different approaches to his numerous false accusations, including no response at all. None of them were correct responses. I was left feeling defeated As he felt his false accusations were validated & therefore must be true. Personally, I find false accusations to be thought out lies with ill intent for the accusers pleasure.

One good way to counter a false accusation is to look at the person, laugh and say “Look who’s talking!!” If that fails, call your lawyer

Paper cup, piece of cardboard — scoop up the spider, dispose outside instead of squishing it. Why kill it???? Is killing a spider such an easy solution? Why kill????

Spiders are our friends. That’s what I always said to my children. They’re not cuddly friends though.
