Time After Time

If you search through the titles of posts on this blog for ones that contain the word “time” you’ll maybe be surprised at how many there are.

Or maybe not.

I’m pretty darned surprised that I’m already 64. I’m not surprised to BE 64; even as a teen I had a pretty good understanding of how finite any life is and I was easily able to envision myself aging.

So all my life I’ve been aware that time was passing, but what’s startling is how immeasurably it’s passed. Like a breeze blowing by. Sometimes I notice the breeze and sometimes I don’t. One time I’m 16 when I notice it, another time I’m 40, then I’m 64. The only thing that doesn’t change is the feeling that I’m standing still while all that time-related stuff flows past.
