One thought on “ADHD Prosopagnosia: That Face, I Know I Know That Face

If you “know the face” then it’s not prosopagnosia. Prosopagnosia is an inability to recognise facial features, not an inability to make an association to a name or person based on the facial features. My guy friend approached me at a nightclub and we had a thirty minute discussion before I realised that I was being chatted up by a stranger. I approached a close friend at her place of work to say hello, and realised as we were speaking that this girl had a nose ring and seemed confused about why I’d approached her.

I recognise people based on the context of the situation, their style and the way they walk and speak, because their faces may as well be big blank balloons. Hope this helps your understanding! 🙂
