This was a beautiful post, well written and engaging. I, being diagnosed with both ADD, and Asperger’s Syndrome can completely relate to your feelings and sentiments in this article.

The passing of time in particular brings such profound and intense feelings of regret and sadness. It often feels like life is slipping further away, and those things that are important go over the falls just before I can catch them…and then those moments are gone–forever, and that makes me sad.

On a brighter note, it was in this past year that I was diagnosed with autism (at 38 years old), and after beginning to write about autism, I no longer feel complete alone and adrift in the world.

Here’s to 2013, new insights, new connections, and new friends!

Aspie Writer, I’m constantly in amazed at the similarities between Asperger’s and ADHD. And I believe, though many say I’m wrong, that they will be shown in the future to be so closely related as to share places in a single category of diagnosis.

The only alternative I can see to this, in my world, would be for a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome to be applied to me. That isn’t likely as I do not fit the criteria.

Thank you for the compliment, I consider it to be very high praise coming from you, given the quality of your own work at Aspie Writer.

Again, thanks for reading my blog, and for sharing your insights, here and on your own site,
