Scatter Me

... me!

It's not hard to distract me.

And yet, I often work with five or more tabs open on my browser while I write. And a quick glance at those tabs are not enough to see a connection between them.

Two or more of them will be back end editors for different sites that I work on or for, one will be twitter, one will be the Facebook, one might be the weather, another...

Executive Dysfunction, The Other ED

Speak up!

We're all familiar with Erectile Dysfunction, right? Wait, that didn't come out the way I meant it.

I'll start over ...

Erectile Dysfunction has been put in the spotlight lately, due to the ability of pharmaceutical companies to remediate that situation, at least long enough to get through any situation where ED has a negative impact.

But no one is offering a fix for executive Dysfunction, temporary or otherwise.

How Did That Go?

Give yourself a present

Okay, the bulk of celebration in North America at this time of year is Christmas celebration.

So I'm assuming that for most of the North American people with ADHD, Christmas is over.

For those of you who still have celebrations to attend, you can read on, there's no spoilers in here.

Well, I can tell you that it ends, I just can't tell you how.

Here We Go Again

Coming around ...

ADHD is a disorder of cyclical stress. We learn to cope, fall into a routine of doing that, and then feel like we've cured the part that we're coping for.

The deal is that ADHD cannot be repaired, can't be remediated, can not be cured.

The Fates Of ADHD

Oh, those three ...

Klotho spins the thread of life, Lachesis measures out each segment for each of us, and Atropos cuts it when you have reached your allotted length.

You'll notice that there is no fourth goddess checking on the quality of that thread, right?

And of these three goddesses, I place the blame for...

Tech Wins For Xmas

They're right there ...

It's this easy. I walk in the door, and I hang my keys on the key rack. Every time. Without fail.

.... until the day that I don't. That doesn't mean that I won't hang them up the next day, or even later today, it just means that this time, I didn't.

And it's highly likely that I didn't because I was in a hurry and had something else...

Succeeding Well

... maybe

Over six years ago I started writing this blog. I've written three posts a week since the beginning. I've never published less than that, and I don't intend to change that any time soon.

I'm not burning out, oddly enough, and I've gotten over the feeling that I'm saying the same things in different ways. You see, like all good fables or lessons or stories with morals, different versions of each...

Calm Waters

To the casual observer, it may look like "calm waters" is the last phrase you'd use to describe someone with ADHD.

But I want to tell you what that phrase means to me. And remember, everything is relative.

To me, calm waters aren't the placid, flat mirror of no problems and no obligations.

To me, that would be beyond calm, that would be boring.
