In A Swirl! It’s About Comfort

Looks painful, right?

Have you ever put three or more ingredients together in a bowl and watched as the mixing begins?

There's a point at which any given part of the contents looks like all the other parts, and yet each area is unique and different, swirled together yet still in separate streaks, no two points alike, yet all are familiar looking in the mess of it.

And that's kind of what I gravitate towards,...

Eye See

An interesting view point ...

I'm beginning to believe that if you have ADHD, you have vision trouble.

And yes, I'm talking about an inability to see visible light as clearly or as accurately as others do, not an inability to understand things ...

Although that's also an issue, am I right? But another day for that, eh?

This is about our eye sight.

Who are you?

Good question, eh?

It's Friday, and I'm busy. Nothing new in that, right?

It's actually Black Friday though and, although I live in Canada and in a part of the country where crazy lineups at Walmart before they open are twelve people, I'm not impervious to the distraction this day brings.

I am, after all, the Man of Distraction! (You need to turn the echo and reverb on on your computer or phone when you...

Now See Here …

I've got this ...

My mind works rather quickly in many ways. But sadly, because it covers ground so fast, it tends to squander that ability by rapidly cycling through many thoughts that are a waste of time.

I can be cheerfully starting some task, say in the kitchen, that requires counter space. And I'll pick up something in my way that I could just put someplace else and...

Yesterday, All My Troubles Seemed …

All the power ... when it's charged

Do you like the Beatles' music? I do.

And I love the way their titles and first lines often suddenly have new meaning for me when taken out of context.

Take that "Yesterday" song for instance, yesterday that song was playing in my head. Because yesterday was the day after the day that I had no troubles. And yesterday was the day the troubles came.

And the trouble was...

There Are People …

People ...

There are people who live in houses that look like magazine photos. That's not me.

There are people who have their future plotted out perfectly. And if things go differently, they know exactly what their plan "B" is. That's not me.

There are people who buy a book and when they're done reading it they donate it to the thrift store or a charity book sale or they take it to the second...

Micro-Transition

What do you mean that's not a word???

Last Friday I talked about transitioning, and since I hate to transition, I may just keep talking about it now that I'm on the topic.

Oh, wait. On Monday I talked about Anxiety. I guess I already transitioned.

And now I'm transitioning back ... to transitioning.

But today I also want to touch on how Hyper-focus, or perseverance, play a role in our issues with transitioning.

Begin, The Scariest Word

And ... begin

Ever since I was little, the word "Begin" has brought mixed emotions for me.

There were always some things that I would get to start that I loved. Each new day was a new beginning.

But no one ever said "Begin" at the start of my day. In fact, maybe they did, but I had probably already hit the ground running and was gone by the time they had drawn...

A Comment, And An Answer

Sometimes I reply ... at least I try to

So here's a write these posts, and often people comment on them. I try to answer them, but I'm a busy ADHD boy.

Lots of times they grab my attention and I write a response. But other times I don't even see them. You should know that there are editors at Psych Central, this is no kiddy-show set up. These people are professional.

But today,...
