Look Into My Eyes

Observe ...

My friend, Jennie Friedman, an ADHD coach by trade and a good one I understand, has a website called SeeinADHD. I've written for it, I help edit it, and yes I'm somewhat affiliated with it (shameless promotional plug there), but what I'd like to draw your attention to is the name of the site.

See in ADHD refers to her assertion that if you look closely at the...

Gathering Wool

All wound up in imagination

When I was a lad, there were many times when I was required to sit still.

Now I can tell you that, as a person with ADHD for whom the capital 'H' actually is applicable, that wasn't easy.

But I'm not primarily hyperactive, nor am I primarily inattentive. I'm combined type.

And that has helped me ... somewhat.

It’s About Life

Not just my life ...

Every two or three days I post here about ADHD. It's a pretty regular thing. I haven't missed publishing three posts a week in almost six years now.

And I confess that being sick makes me appreciate things like slippers, sweaters, blankets, soup, and other things...

Wheel Fell Off

It happens sometimes ...

There are times when I feel like my life is clicking along. Like it's rolling on rails and I can just watch it run.

When that happens I get scared. Well, I used to get scared.

I knew, I still know, that when I get complacent, I get cocky. And I start doing more and more stuff.

Then I start committing resources to multiple tasks.

The Rest Is Gravy

Who needs gravy?

Have you heard about this? This weekend, this long weekend, October 6th to 9th, is the Canadian Thanksgiving.

It happens earlier than American Thanksgiving because winter also happens earlier and the American date is too late in the year for us to be able to count on the weather.

So the holiday progression, for those keeping score, is Canadian Thanksgiving, Halloween, American Thanks giving, and then Christmas.

But when it comes...
