the first paragraph at the link to “heart attack” clearly states that the link to heart attack is unknown. This whole article sounds fishy and uninformed…. fearmongering.

The paragraph you are referring to is the “background” — in other words, what they know before doing their research. If you read on, you’ll see the actual study results, including this: “The risk of myocardial infarction onset was elevated 4.8 times over baseline (95% confidence interval, 2.4 to 9.5) in the 60 minutes after marijuana use.” It’s probably something that an older person would want to take into account before smoking.

Yeah, what NotSoFast said, and I’d like to call bull on the addictive part. Umm…I don’t believe that’s true for everybody. Not everyone is an alcoholic??? Food can be an addiction. Should everyone stop eating? Relationships (I just read on this very site) can be addicting. Should we all just be alone? No. Just like the pain pills I need but can’t get because they’re addicting. Excuse me but some people do take them only WHEN they have pain. I’m so tired of stories like these that paint everything in a bad light and don’t look at any of the good. Please stop. It really offers less credence to your site. Think about it.
