Interesting that you do not mention Vyvanse as an alternative during CD treatment. In general Stattera is not that helpful for those who are correctly diagnosed with ADHD. However it does seem to helpfu as adjunctive therapy if anxiety is present with the ADHD.

My insomnia got better after I quit drinking. I probably take about 20 percent of what I used to.
On the other hand, my depression got worse.

The hard part is knowing when all your weirdness is normal alcohol recovery stuff and when it is your depression or ADHD or whatever.

On several occasions, I have seen non stimulant drug abusers who have been prescribed Adderal/amphetamine salts. I have the opportunity to review a years worth of pharmacy prescriptions for the patient here in California. If the refills of Adderal are normal and consistent, and if dose is normal, and there is a good history of accurate diagnosis, then I am likely to allow them to continue their medication for the time being until we can explore alternatives.
