Rebound Therapist
Everyone is aware of the old “rebound relationship” theory – you have a quick, “instant gratification” relationship to recover from a traumatic break-up of the previous one. The same thing can happen with therapists.
A few weeks ago I had an appointment with a psychopharmachologist to reevaluate my medications. I had never met her before, but as I sat down with her and started chatting with her about my issues, I felt really comfortable.
After my previous therapist Roger left his practice, I had tried to build a relationship with my new therapist Stan but nothing had clicked. Okay, so maybe two appointments does not a relationship make. However it just wasn’t clicking.

From the time I was in my adolescence I’ve always been pegged as “mature” for my age. My mother raised me with good manners, and taught me to behave like a lady. On the other hand, people are often confused about my age because I look young – or at least that’s what I’ve been told.
