Margarita Tartakovsky is an associate editor at Psych Central, crafting articles on everything from ways to find motivation and how to take medication safely to mental illness stigma in the media and living with bipolar disorder.
She also writes book reviews and contributes to Psych Central’s main blog World of Psychology.
Her writing career began unofficially in second grade when she composed her first-ever essay on Cinderella (her mom still has it!), several months after emigrating from Russia.
Officially, Margarita began freelancing after graduating with an MS in clinical psychology from Texas A&M University. There, she wrote articles for submission to peer-reviewed psychology journals and conducted research on body image and disordered eating — subjects close to her heart.
She loves getting email from readers! So please feel free to contact her at mtartakovsky@gmail.com.
