A positive body image goes beyond liking your looks. It encompasses taking good care of yourself and leading a fulfilling life. In this weekly series, I share some of my favorite posts from some of my favorite bloggers on this topic. Sometimes I also share relevant pieces that I’ve written on the Web. Hope you find these links inspiring!

This week there were so many amazing posts on self-love. Mara shares 100 ways to show ourselves love.

Rosie shares 75 ways for practicing self-love. She includes this powerful quote from Christopher Germer: “A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life.”

Sally features five strategies for fostering self-love.

Rachel talks about finding her way home to a place of self-love. This is one of my favorite parts:

I came to believe that all of life is one, big divine ocean with each of us as a distinctive wave. We are made up of the same divine energy and matter but are each as unique as a snowflake. I believe we are tasked with becoming the fullest expression of our “wave” as possible.

For me to be the fullest expression of my wave, I have to be tended to, nurtured, loved, and most importantly fed. Anything else pulls me out of engagement with life.

Susannah shares her three layers of self-care. She writes: “To me, self-care is really self-kindness, and I find the more self-aware I become the more I recognise what I need.”

Don’t worry about being original. Instead, focus on telling the truth. Jen writes:

Original puts you outside yourself. It is about striving, trying, fitting in. Truth is what must be. It is the call of the real coming into expression through you. And it is so much more satisfying.

A few ideas on creating an environment that nurtures your creativity.

What are your favorite reads this week? How do you practice self-love?
