January 25th, 2010How effective do you see Serequel being for treatment of bipolar? My daughter is bipolar and after 4 years of treatment with Lithium, her psychiatrist decided she should try Serequel. Thats when things fell apart. My daughter also used marijuana during the past 5 years. She is now back on Lithium w/o marijuana but she has amplified OCD symptoms – her dr said the marijuana was holding her OCD at bay this whole time. Was the marijuana helping or hindering her bipolar?

January 25th, 2010Your first question is really a medical question. Might I suggest you ask your daughter’s psychiatrist to give you a detailed answer about serequel? Also, all drugs can have powerful effects, prescription or non-prescription. It is always a good idea for people to take drugs only prescribed and monitored by their physicians.
