When we checked in early today on Psychcentral, only blogger Leigh Pretnar Cousins had yet to mention what some are calling the second-most (or even the most) important election in the past century. Since the election definitely will influence health care policies (and many other policies that impact mental health issues) we thought a pre-election poll was in order.
Will Americans repudiate President Obama’s agenda of change by voting in the largest mid-term Republican majority in over fifty years, as some predict? Or, will we back President Obama’s pledge to continue to change the nation by supporting the Democrat candidates for the House and Senate, as others predict?
Some polls show a Republican landslide. Gallup does, but others do not. Huffington Post has a breakdown of what the major pollsters are predicting.
So, will PsychCentral readers reflect the rest of the nation or will we trend differently? VOTE and share your voice!
Note: This is NOT a scientific poll. All votes are anonymous.
