Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of presentation.
II would like to have a better sex life.
I recently wrote a book on mindfulness and sex, and I was pondering the same issue you have mentioned – that is, ‘how is mindfulness any different from tantric sex, masters and Johnson etc.’ and I completely agree that mindfulness is a more palatable way for people to integrate these important concepts into their sex lives. I know I used to think that tantric sex was some whacky therapy that I could never get into (I’ve since changed my opinion).
I think it also helps that people can learn the concepts of mindfulness in a non-sexual context before moving onto mindfulness and sex.
This is the format I tend to take in the current book, where I begin with non-sexual meditations and exercises and move up from there. I would love your opinion on the book. There is a free sample, which can be found at mindfulnessandsex.com. Let me know what you think!
And thanks for the great post, I wish people talked about this stuff more often, so that we could shed a little of the taboo surrounding sex.
