First date, blind date, fifth date: When, where, and how do you disclose to your mate that you have a mental illness?

It is a loaded complicated question that doesn’t have a clear definite answer, and must be dealt with on a case by case basis I suppose.  So, since I do not have any solutions, I would like to turn to you, readers, for your input and advice.  Your stories matter so please chime in and give your ideas and experiences.

When did you tell your mate about your mental illness, and how did you do it?

What was their response?
