3rd Grade 1975

I think there’s something to be said for rapid fire speech. That is, of course, unless you were one of my grade school teachers.

At some point, the schools figured it out and began mailing report cards to the parents instead of relying on their children to hand deliver them. Which one among us didn’t at least practice signing their mom’s and dad’s names?

I recall one of my first. I was still at the age when report card content was more fluff than serious so I had not yet learned that the delivery could result in a less than pleasant experience. Oh, but I had heard the stories on the play ground.
