   Well, the Earth has a good chance to out-live people, but it won’t be here forever. I believe the end of the Earth will be when our wonderful star, also known as the sun: Solarus, goes into super nova first exploding and then imploding to become the most terrifying thing of all: a black hole.

   But, if that was going to happen on 12/21/12, I think we’d already know it by now. It’s not really a sudden thing like a light switch or a granade.

   Either humans will be able to escape the Earth completely and live on other worlds by then, or we’ll all be dust. Either way, none of us will get to see it happen. (Thank heavens.)
