Maureen was diagnosed with bipolar disorder over 10 years ago and underwent brain surgery for a large brain cyst. Even though Maureen is not a mental health professional, she does play a very important role in peer support. She is Secretary and on the Board of Directors of Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Louisville.

Just in the last year DBSA Louisville has had “Ask the Doctor Night,” “Ask the Judge Night,” and guest speakers on art therapy, social security, public speaking, and job readiness.
