Today was just an average day here in Florida, with an average, hot day hitting about 92 degrees and 30% chance of precipitation/T-storms. When suddenly, a huge thunderstorm whipped up some torrential downpours and some flash flooding of a few streets.
The rain was coming down so hard you could not see 5 feet in front of you. I took cover with the kids and waited the storm out at Walmart. When it was all over, the sun shined and the ground dried and in the sky was this awesome rainbow! It was so vibrant in color and was a full half circle. I have not seen a full rainbow like this in 30 or more years. I was only able to capture a small part of it as it faded away – (thanks in part to my kids accidentally breaking my new video cam and my other digital had no batteries.) Thankfully, I was able to get this shot and I’m glad about that!
It reminds me of living with Bipolar/Mental Health issues… Sometimes they stir up a tempestuous storm, but in time there is recovery. We just have to hold on and make it to the end of the rainbow!
