Title: You Must Be Nuts To Enter REALLY

A while back, I got an e-mail asking if I could draw a cartoon idea that someone had.  It was just before the big push for the 2011 cartoon-a-thon.  I knew I would not be able to give it much of my attention and I told the peer this via e-mail but told him to send me his ideas, anyway.

He envisioned a group of monkeys being ripped apart by alligators along side a pond (alligator pit).  I believe the idea was that there was a provider on the other side of the pond.  Not quite my style of cartoons.  Still, I told him I would give it a shot but I would put my own twist to it.  What could he say about that, he’s not paying for it and I hate drawing monkeys.

That’s just a little issue I have with those cute little monkeys… I hate drawing them, therefore I don’t have many cartoons featuring monkeys.   Ergo, no monkeys in this cartoon above of my interpretation of his idea… or feelings about mental health providers.

Do You Have an Alter EGO?

Chato gives his Ego a workout in a wheelbarrow

Chato’s Ego: Chato… How long do I need to push you around in this wheelbarrow???

Title: Chato gives his EGO a workout

Genus Peponocephala: Its main specie is the Melon-headed Whale.

I have very little self-esteem; that’s a fact, and if it was not for my “alter” ego…I don’t think I could finish half of what I do now.

It’s when that alter ego conflicts with my real life that I really worry.  It leads me to ask: WHO AM I?  Who are any of us?  What makes us stand out from one another besides the obvious?   Of course, I could be feeling this way because my wife and kids are listening to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”…Gosh, she is so depressing!

What can you do when you are your alter ego?
