Chato’s Ego: Chato… How long do I need to push you around in this wheelbarrow???
Title: Chato gives his EGO a workout
I have very little self-esteem; that’s a fact, and if it was not for my “alter” ego…I don’t think I could finish half of what I do now.
It’s when that alter ego conflicts with my real life that I really worry. It leads me to ask: WHO AM I? Who are any of us? What makes us stand out from one another besides the obvious? Of course, I could be feeling this way because my wife and kids are listening to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”…Gosh, she is so depressing!
What can you do when you are your alter ego?
By the way, I think we all have some type of alter egos. Especially people living with mental disorders. NO not a type of psychosis, rather a type of coping mechanism; when we are feeling the effects of Bipolar or Depression and need to be around people, we may go into the “happy” alter ego. Yet, inside we are being ripped apart from depression or something else. We call it other things like wearing a mask or hiding our true feelings…
Is it possible our alter egos are really a part of us? Or is it just an act to cope? What do you think?
