Dear Dr. Bob Bob, I think I have a mental illness like bipolar! And np one believes me.I get angry all the time for no reason and thin it turns into crying! I feel like I’m locked in a cell and I can’t get out. What can I do?
Prisoner #214588Dear Prisoner #214588
I’m sorry you feel shut in and trapped. There is no reason any one should ever feel like they are in jail when your mental health is concerned. I would recommend you get out and go for walks, meet some people and be more social. That’s why you are angry and have not friends. People with no friends will feel like they are in a cell. So go to the beach and turn that frown upside down.
Dear Dr. Bob Bob,
I’m bipolar and just got out of the hospital. I got new meds but now I feel sick from them…I think they’re not working. Should I stop taking my meds? My doctor told me yesterday when he lets me out to call if there is a problem.
Signed: Belly HurtsDear Belly Hurts, Of course, you should STOP. Hey if it’s making you sick then that’s not making you better. I would suggest you get out and go for a walk. That will make you feel better and go shopping and spend a lot of money! Don’t forget to get something for yourself too. Go Bar hopping too, nothing wrong with celebrating you release. That is what I would do if I just got out!
Dr.Bob Bob, I love winter and I love the snow! I’m looking out my window and every thing is covered with almost 2 feet of fresh snow. It’s like a winter wonderland! Is it normal to enjoy it so much? I know so many others don’t… I JUST LOVE SNOW!
Signed: FrostyDear Frosty, Let me say that having this obsession is not normal! I tend to believe you have never had to shovel out a walk way then a drive way only to have a snow-blower bury you in again! Loving snow is one thing. Having to shovel it over and over again… Well that’s just crazy! Oh, I see why you wrote to me now.
New Dr. Bob Bob coming soon. E-mail me your questions and I’ll have him answer them for you.
