  • What are some good methods to teach a 9-yr old to practice kindness and/or develop empathy?

  • That’s a great question. Empathy is so important, especially for preventing a child from bullying others or becoming anti-social. Some good ways are to have them help you find things in your home to donate. Explain why others would be blessed with your things. Collect food for the food pantry, or go shopping just for that purpose. Have them help and deliver the food to the local pantry so they can hear the gratitude in the pantry workers’ voices. Do generous things as a family such as charity events, volunteer opportunities at church, school, etc. All of these teach kids the value of thinking about others before themselves.

In fact, this is such a great question, I’ll probably do a full post on it sometime soon. It’s a great topic, and young children are usually pretty open to it.

  • Hi,
How to make my 10 year old son give up watching cartoon and computer games and study?

  • Get rid of the TV and the computer. It’s simple, and easy. Just do it.

  • Yeah for god’s sake don’t try to think for yourself based on observation and what’s in your heart, get out there and make some people some MO-NaY. Then whip the hell out of your kid like everyone else so they become a slave. And have a more “peaceful” life.
