  1. good links and good point, and I will pass them on to family with kids. People tend to forget theri own struggles, unless they have gone through learning something really new recently. And if, say, you pick up everything aurally, you are going to be baffled by the person who is unable to pay attention to to a lecturer’s voice because of other visual distractions, etc. It is easy for some kids who are bright enough to do well for a long time – until confronted by material that requires hard study, when they realize that what they’ve done before isn’t working. Good that she discovers her best style of learning now, before college years.And great that she asked for some help, too.
