  1. My dad and my husband had total control over when the family ate and the atmosphere of the family meals. Lots of yelling and slamming of hands on tables and tears. Now that I’m on my own we don’t even eat at the table, we eat in the living room watching t.v. and enjoy it immensely. We talk and laugh more. Eating at the table usually ends up unpleasantly for my family, so we avoid it.
