Mother’s Day – Truth and Fantasy

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

When a special day like an anniversary or birthday rolls around, a little fantasy comes along with it. Maybe your love will do something unexpected and romantic. Perhaps your family will have supper and a nice relaxing evening together all planned out. The same kind of thinking can apply to a day like Mother’s Day.

Exploring The Parenting Spectrum

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

Parenting has become an industry. So many books, videos, experts, (ahem) bloggers, and talk shows tell parents what they should and shouldn’t while raising their kids.

Setting Financial Boundaries With Your Children

Monday, April 25th, 2011

As a parent, you want to help your kids. You also need to plan ahead for your own financial needs. You’ll find some great advice in this financial article I found on Yahoo news. Breastfeeding Stigma Still Lingers

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Chalk collection...

Last night I went to a parent information meeting for middle school for my oldest daughter.  Geez, how time flies.  And yes, I know most people don’t call it junior high anymore.  It’s middle school, but I expect to be corrected a lot by all my girls.  Some old habits are just a little tough to change.

Mom Adjusting To Daughter’s New Experiences

I have a challenge, along with simply accepting that she could possibly be old enough to do this.  I didn’t have a very good overall experience in junior high (middle school).  It was pretty tough for me socially and a massive adjustment.
