What is an Intuitive Consultant Anyway? | Lynn A. Robinson's Divine Intuition Blog on Psych CentralI’m so happy to have been welcomed into the Psych Central community, and I feel strongly that my message of deep self-awareness is in tune with the organization’s driving purpose. Hopefully my new readers understand the meaning of Divine Intuition, and have already started paying attention to their inner compass. My bio defines me as an “Intuitive Consultant.” You might be wondering, what exactly is an intuitive consultant?
A Diverse Background
An intuitive consultant provides a mix of talents that range from those offered by business consultants, marketing specialists, life coaches, psychologists, spiritual advisors, relationship mediators and, yes, psychics. Some of my colleagues in this unusual field consider themselves business strategists with a value-added spiritual component, while others identify themselves as clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, mediums, empaths, and more.

My own practice is driven by my personal intuitive gifts, influenced by my background in the corporate world, a master’s in education, my current work on a PhD in theology and enhanced by decades of training as well as one-on-one sessions with clients. While I am deeply spiritual, I offer guidance grounded in the real world, always encouraging my clients to hone and trust their own instincts when making decisions.
When to Turn to Intuition
Intuition is a wonderful ally during times of transition. Whether it’s your choice to embark on a new life or whether your circumstances change against your will, your inner compass is an indispensable tool in times of upheaval. Most of my clients come to me during these times of change and transition. While I don’t make your choice for you, I’m a sounding board offering my own intuitive insights about some of the people and situations around you. I encourage you to see your situation from a fresh perspective and seek options you might not have realized were there.

Some of my clients actually come to me because there isn’t enough change in their lives. They feel stuck and aren’t sure where to turn, even as that little voice in the back of their minds urges them to try something new. Those sessions are helpful in assessing your strengths and weaknesses and uncovering natural talents. I work with you to see beyond the limiting beliefs that might be holding you back so that you can acknowledge you full potential. Together we uncover your deepest goals and find the best path to achieve those dreams.

The third category of clients that I work with are seeking some insight into their relationships. Perhaps you’re looking to regain satisfaction in your personal life, or you’re grappling with being newly single. Using my intuition, I look at the situation from all perspectives and encourage you to understand the inner lessons to be learned from any chronic life struggle.

Even if your session is primarily to discuss romance, you’ll leave with a deeper insight into familial and business relationships as well. I use my intuition to describe the complex personality dynamics that create a relationship. The information I provide helps you see the relationship from a new perspective, allowing you to move it in a more positive direction.
What to Expect from an Intuitive Reading
When I give a reading, I align with God, (the Universe, Infinite Intelligence), to assist you in making the best possible choices for your life. My intuitive information comes in images, feelings, words, knowings and symbolic pictures. During a reading, I receive information about your greatest potential in this lifetime.

I’ll also provide you with insights about the different ways in which the future could unfold. I believe we create our life events through a combination of intention, intuition, visualization, self- talk and action. My goal is to help you free yourself to be the best you can be, and to introduce you to the world of your highest potential.

To give you some perspective on the variety of intuitive consultations, read how two other members of my field describe their services.

Susan Gorman: “The goal of a reading is not merely to predict the future. In fact, that is a very small part of what I do. Detailed information about you is revealed to me based on two requirements of what we call ‘reality:’ what is probable, and what is possible. I give my clients both scenarios and then coach them on how to bring about what is their hearts' desire.”

Cherrene Taylor: “I work with Divine Spirit to provide information about you and how you relate to the world around you, focusing primarily on your area of concern. I can focus on and immediately describe to you what I see (beliefs, hopes, judgments, blocks, residues from past experiences, or other dynamics). As your Counselor, we then work together to release what no longer works, change the intent and belief system and move forward. This is much easier than you might imagine. My goal/intent is to help people discover their own truths, gain self-empowerment and in turn improve their lives.”
The Value of an Intuitive Consultant
Many of us feel called to do something important with our lives. We know, deep in our souls, that life is meant to have a greater meaning. When we follow the wisdom of our intuition, we’re led to lives of abundance, creativity, love and success. Inviting an intuitive consultant into your life can help you get out of your own way on the path to making those dreams come true. The best part is, these are skills that you build inside of yourself, and they last a lifetime. Keep reading my Divine Intuition blog, reach out to me in person, or find an intuitive consultant in your area. A richer intuitive life could be just what you’re searching for.
