March 25th, 2009This article is very encouraging, but it makes me want to scream: “So, where do I go to Helen Mayberg for this procedure. I have been living like this for 38 years. I can honestly say it does get worse in your 50′s.
It’s the most horrible way to have to live; especially when you are TRD. No medication even helps a little bit; except for the xanax which has you feeling so tired all the time.
Yes, the courages ones are always hopeless, and the others give up because the pain really does intensify beyond normal understanding.
By the way, the healthcare system should be considered cruel and unjust not to help people with this condition! It is a disgrace; I don’t know how they sleep at night.
