Now that Sonny With a Chance star Demi Lovato is in treatment for “emotional and physical issues” Disney and the show’s producers have reworked Sonny‘s structure so that – as they say – the show can go on.

According to Variety, upcoming episodes of Sonny With a Chance will focus more on the show within that show, “So Random!”

Fortunately, Lovato’s network – well, at least her Disney network – seems to be supportive and willing to help. Of Lovato’s break and the Sonny restructure, a Disney Channel spokeswoman said:

This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure. Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues.

To date, there are plans for the show resume shooting in January.
