Would Eddie Cibrian's Cheating On LeAnn Rimes Been…Natural?

Monday, August 9th, 2010
LAS VEGAS - APRIL 18: Actor Eddie Cibrian and singer LeAnn Rimes arrive for the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 18, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)

I’ve never liked the saying “Once a cheater, always a cheater.” It’s just always seemed ridiculous to me, sort of like, “Once a thief, always a thief,” or “Once a murderer, always a murderer.”

These things just aren’t true.

If everyone in the world who’d ever cheated on, robbed, or murdered someone had no hope but “Once a [whatever], always a [whatever],” then the world would eventually be filled with nothing but cheaters, robbers, murderers, and everything-else-ers.

(It kind of reminds me of my thoughts back during the Chris Brown/Rihanna scandal, when folks were saying abuse is never a one-time incident and – you guessed it – once an abuser, always an abuser.)

People can – and do – change.

Anyway, when Us Weekly posted the Eddie Cibrian Denies Affair With Ex Brandi Glanville story to its Facebook page, heading with the question “Once a cheater, always a cheater?,” I had to check it out.

Kardashian Family Blow Up: Has Scott Disick Entered Therapy?

Friday, August 6th, 2010

It looks like those of you who are into the reality scene will soon get a glimpse at how alcohol abuse and psychological issues affect the families of the rich and famous.

(Emphasis on families. I think it’s pretty safe to say the media – and celebrities themselves – have done a fine job of showing us how these unchecked problems wreak havoc on the individuals’ lives.)

According to UsMagazine.com, during this Sunday’s episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney Kardashian has it out with her mom, Kris Jenner, over Scott Disick’s need for rehab and counseling.

After assuring Jenner he’s already seeking treatment, Disick, Kardashian’s boyfriend and the father of her seven-month-old child, tosses a handful of papers out the window (wonder what kind of littering laws they have in Miami) – papers that included research Jenner did for him on different rehab and treatment facilities. Later, Kourtney confronts her mom for butting into her and Disick’s business.

After you watch the video clip (which is after the jump), you’ll be able to see three pretty understandable viewpoints.

Ellen Leaves Idol: "It’s Hard to Hurt People’s Feelings"

Although its future success is in limbo (well, in my opinion, anyway), American Idol is arguably one of the most popular shows (and probably the most popular reality show) on television today.

Which might make you wonder why Ellen DeGeneres is saying goodbye after just one year of her five-year Idol contract.

I mean, sure, she has a million other wildly successful things going on (so it’s not like money’s an issue) and aside from herself, half of the judges are leaving (or, *ahem*, being forced out), so the dynamic is changing a lot.

However, it seems that the main reason DeGeneres is bowing out is because the show – not just its demanding work schedule but also its oftentimes harsh atmosphere – just isn’t “the right fit” for her:
