I think the point is not that they don't care about her, but that she is probably lying to get attention.

first of all, i think it's funny that the people who said they hate Megan Fox or that they "didn't care" took the time to post about it.

Secondly, as a cutter, reading this article makes me feel sad for Megan Fox and a little angry at the negative posts. I wish cutting was taken more seriously by society, and not frivolously labeled "emo" or "sick," etc. People sure are afraid of what they do not understand; it's easier to criticize than take the time to understand. Self-harming is such a serious problem, an unhealthy way to deal with numbness or distress. I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs.

I feel sad for Megan Fox... so many people hate her. But whatever abuses she went through or whatever upbringing she had, she really needs to get a handle on it and remind herself that she can't change the past and that it's better to move on as best she can. It takes time and energy, but it's well worth it.

[...] During my thoughts on the interview (thoughts which mostly dealt with OTHER people’s thoughts), I mused on how callus we, the public, can be when it comes to the mental health issues of celebrities - people many of us assume should just be happy because of their fame and fortune. Some of you had thoughts similar to mine and some of you had differing opinions, but for the most part everyone seemed to agree that the public clings to this information in the ways we do because Megan Fox is a celebrity and because she puts herself out there and that, celebrity or not - lovable celebrity or not - such issues should be taken very seriously.
I couldn't care less about Megan Fox self harming herself. It's sad that she does, but we all consume so much celebrity gossip that I just don't care anymore. Plus, it's her private life and if she wants to seek help, she should be able to without crap from the public.

Well, I just read and saw enough, didn't even know there were links to her 'being'. (I often don't see the obvious)

The woman is obviously sick, and she obviously is not cured in any way just because she may no longer throw up or cut herself.

If I had to be her, and live her life, and look like her, I would feel as horrible as she does. her little happy hours are surely the result of cocaine or vicodin, or something.

I can surely also understand why people hate her and don't give a damn about the fact that she once cut herself. It's the two opposites, like with Narcissists. feeling so horrible and then compensating with the other extreme.

She is pathetic, and I think the fact that she cut herself is really rather the least of her problems ever.

I really, really feel so sorry for her.

People love and hate the famous, or the beautiful, or rich, and powerful. They are jealous and they want to see/hear the dirty secrets.

But this is the deal. Do i want to be so beautiful that I will never know if someone loves me for myself? (not to mention that this shall not last, either.)

Do I want to be so rich that I will never know if someone loved me for me and not just my money, and when I can never trust anyone because of that?

Do I want to be famous so I can be a prisoner and never be free because otherwise I am harassed and eaten up?

I don't know except that I would cut, do drugs, have bulimia and hate myself, among other things.

I think that people are sick of this girl because she is so "out there". By that I mean that she is obviously desperate for any and all kinds of attention and will say or do anything to get it. She's like a spoiled child that has realized that ifshe acts up, people will notice. I'm sure the people that truly have an issue with self abuse don't appreciate her throwing this out like it's a fad.
