Jamie Foxx, You Pretty Much Disgust Me Now

Pre-Grammy Party IHO Clive Davis 2009

Of all the ways I could have started my Tuesday morning, I had to start it by listening to this garbage.

41-year-old actor, musician, and one of the stars of the upcoming movie The Soloist (remember, I actually praised him a few months ago) Jamie Foxx apparently thought it’d be a good idea to call 16-year-old Miley Cyrus a “b****,” engage his co-hosts and the caller in a ridiculous conversation about her mouth, and encourage Cyrus to “make a sex tape,” “do some heroin,” “get some crack in [her] pipe,” and “catch chlamydia” on his radio show.

Thanks to E! Online you can listen to the recording, but those quotes pretty much sum it up.

There’s not any one word that can wrap up how I feel about Foxx and his alarmingly poor sense of judgment and serious lack of character right now. Shocked? Appalled? Disgusted? None of them quite do the job.

I mean, we are talking about a 16-year-old girl. Sure, she might be a bit moody, obnoxious, and diva-like at times, but Miley Cyrus is a 16-year-old girl. Jamie Foxx is a grown man - with a teenage daughter of his own, no less - exerting the energy to weave together a string of insults worthy of no one.

Classy, Foxx. I can’t think of a better way to show support for all the young ladies - young people in general - experiencing the very same emotional highs and lows and growing pains as teenagers across the globe, including your own daughter.

Bet you wouldn’t be too pleased if someone attacked her with even half the vigor you afforded Cyrus, hmm?

Up until this point, I’ve been pretty excited about the upcoming release of The Soloist; it’s an amazing true story that I believe will help shed light on mental illness. Now, however, I just don’t think I can justify paying one cent for anything this guy’s involved with. I am so disappointed. Maybe my admiration for Robert Downey, Jr. will supersede how revolting I find Foxx right now? I don’t know.

He’s made alot of comments in the past that show he is a racist. This is just another example. He would have NEVER said these things about a white celebrity. I don’t care for either one of them, but at least she has an excuse for her behavior.. she’s a teenager. He’s a grown man who should know better. But what can you expect from someone who gets his butt kissed 24 hours a day? He’s spoiled an self indulgent, as this rants clearly shows. I didn’t listen to it.. reading it was bad enough.

I saw the 60 Minutes piece on the “real” soloist. What an amazing man and what an amazing mentor who has nurtured him. I had hopes for the movie being as sensitive as the 60 Minutes piece, and doing great good to advance support and development of what abilities even those with such intractable mental illnesses as “The Soloist” has… I still have hopes, but thanks Jamie! I can only expect he read his lines and will collect his royalties with no real empathy for the man he is protraying- a much bigger, better man than he is gauging from his trash talk about Miley Cyrus. I hope the studio tapes his mouth shut if they send him out on promo tours for the movie; otherwise he may do more harm than good!

Miley Cyrus is going to turn out just like Lindsey Lohan! Look at the things she’s doing already, which I’m sure will get a lot worse in the near future. I don’t blame Jamie Fox for saying the things he did about Miley. It’s a free country, he can say whatever he wants, just like Miley at 16 wants to do whatever she wants and no one is saying anything about it!!! So leave Jamie Fox alone!!

@ Who Cares - In case you missed it, Jamie issued a big fat public apology last night, so apparently he cares (whether it’s about Miley or his own public image, who knows). I do commend him for that. But, no, people can’t just “say whatever they want” - there are two little things called “slander” and “libel” that can, if one isn’t careful, seriously deplete a bank account. ;)

I think it’s funny that stupid people are saying who cares. That is disgusting. If someone said that about his daughter he’d be livid. I have no respect for him at all anymore. White people are supposedly racist but he was the one saying “white” bitch. The person that posted “who cares” you’ve got some issues. Why would people leave the person alone who said it lol. duh. Yes it’s a free country but there is a right and wrong, and that is so wrong what he said. He is 41 years old and she is 16 gross.

He is just an actor, why do we even listen to them?
We spend more time listening to them than we do to those who know what they are talking about.

Look at Tom Cruise, here is a man who does not have a highschool education. Why are his views on medicine even recorded.

They are paid to repeat what they are told. Would we listen to a parrot and take its advice?

The same with athletes, they run around in circles, and chase balls. Would we listen to dogs? Would we look to dogs to see what we should do? Lets pee on hydrants, and screw relatives in the middle of a park.

We in this country need to start listening to people who are smart and educated, and ignore the ignorant.

The days of belligerent stupidity and wilful ignorance should come to an end. We got rid of our illiterate president who made decisions without listening or thinking, it is time to take a lesson from Europe, when people like Jamie talk they laugh, then they read a book, and watch or participate in discussions that are more than entertaining or shocking opinions. They learn to support their ideas with facts and reason.

All peoples opinions and ideas are not equal. Most are worthless.

Jamie Foxx verbally abused a child with sexual remarks and promoted drug use by a minor in his recent tirade. Was it really all a “joke”? His abuse of a minor is enough for me to write him off forever. His apology was nonsense, he’s only “sorry” that this issue is going to hurt his bank account. Jamie Foxx is a disgusting racist who has used the racial double standard to climb that filth heap of Hollywood. His former TV show was laced with anti-white sentiment, it was an integral part of the show. Enough of Mr. Foxx, he’ll receive no more of my money.

Jamie Foxx is a foul-mouthed verbal abuser of a child. Sexual remarks to a child are never funny. He is a pig and racist who has enjoyed the benefit of this ridiculous double standard for his entire career. Enough of Jamie Foxx. I will not buy a ticket nor DVD for anything that benefits, or is related and/or endorsed by Mr. Foxx. Money Talks, and Foxx will walk, Bye Jamie.

i’m not too excited about the Soloist, honestly; though “Collateral” and “The Kingdom” were good, Jamie Foxx tends have a bland acting style

I guess Michael Richard’s remarks should be overlooked because, after all, he is a comedian!

I was baffled as to why this didn’t end his career, but the clue is in the “Blame It On the Alcohol’ video. It’s a who’s who of heavy hitters in Hollywood–Quincy Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhaal,Forest Whitaker, and Ron Howard to name a few. When you can get Ron Howard in your video, you are well connected. I think he’s pretty much untouchable.

Just goes to show, he’s wanker.
