If my 7 year old son has ADHD with bi polar disorder, what are the chances of just treating the ADHD will help him focus on controling his mood enough to disband the bi-polar diognosis?

Given the fact that treatments for ADHD usually include an amphetamine, such as Ritalin or Adderall, I would think it would be risky to treat the ADHD alone. If you’re going to focus on one or the other first, it might be safer to focus on the bipolar first and see if the ADHD symptoms become more manageable. In any event, please consult with the professionals who are treating your son for specific guidance.
