Hi,

I just found out that I was correctly diagnosed but incorrectly treated for Bipolar Disorder I Moderate.
My experiences with this illness and the struggles I am encountering are something I want to be able to share with ANYONE who has any questions. I fortunately have survived my second manic state (both states have been induced by the incorrectly prescribed medication from my doctors). I am happy to be alive and I think people with this or any other form of manic depression need to hear stories like mine to keep them as involved in their health as possible and keep the control in their hands...

I think that is such an important thing to talk and think about. Being somewhat in the field, and someone who lives with bp, I know that bipolar is no specific shape or size. I find that whenever I talk about my illness people say "but you dont LOOK bipolar". I just wonder what they think bipolar looks like. Some romanticized artist or someone living on the streets? They think I look "normal" and I just think about how many people they know and that have never told them they have bipolar disorder. Wouldn't the world be amazed if we could all come out? They would know that it is normal and much more common then most people think. Thank you for talking about this topic. It is so important for people to think about and hear.

that's an interesting comment. I recently joined a Facebook group for Bipolar Disorder and many of the young people were having a really tough time with it. It seems like someone in their 20's as a successful role model would be great.

Also, while I was on the site, I saw a great recommendation for your book, which I'll probably buy.
