“Bipolar disorder the final frontier…these are the voyages of BipolarLab, its continuing mission to explore the chaos of bipolar disorder, to seek out new technologies and new treatments, to boldly go where no one has gone before…”

Dr. Yanni Malliaris, BSc., PhD. is a psychologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder and depression. He holds a PhD degree from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. After 15 years of training and clinical research work in Great Britain and having studied and worked with leading international experts in Bipolar disorder and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, he launched (2011) his new venture BipolarLab.com — the first specialist bipolar clinic offering remote evidence-based clinical services to people with Bipolar disorder and depression.

The aim is to make available the benefits of evidence-based care that is usually delivered to a minority of bipolar patients through limited university based research trials, to all bipolar patients across the world. He firmly believes that people with bipolar disorder have the capacity to become and remain well and to lead healthy and successful lives without having to suffer all the time. Knowledge, self-management and evidence-based collaborative care are key factors for becoming and remaining well.
