unlock potential

“Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!” - Anne Frank

I want to honest with you. I feel like I have been a little lofty and over the top with the content of this blog so far.

Don’t get me wrong, I completely believe we all have vast potential, and that our purpose in this life is to become the best-version-of-ourselves.

But I am afraid that the message of “unlimited potential” doesn’t always resonate with people.

The idea of reaching for our potential can be a little overwhelming and even scary to think about.

It can also be a little off-putting and frankly discouraging to compare our current reality to the powerful possibilities for our life.

That is why I want to open up and let my guard down.

I don’t you to read these messages and feel down and out. I want you to realize we’re all in the same boat, dealing with the same currents and storms.

I want to share my insecurities along with my dreams to help you see that even an “ordinary Joe” such as myself believes in greater possibilities!

Who am I to change the world?

Since most of you don’t know me that well I want to introduce myself.

I can be a shy and timid person. I can lack confidence when I push myself out of my comfort zone.

I sometimes doubt myself and think my dreams are over-the-top and irrational.

I have a ton to learn in all areas of life and realize that my journey is just beginning.

But, despite all of that, I’m trying to change the world in my own way!

I want to influence people to be better and do better. I want to leave a legacy, and truly believe we have all been put on this planet for a reason.

I also believe that if you have a dream in your heart you should follow it! Why else would it be there?

Why you can change the world!

Everyone has flaws and weaknesses and sometimes we allow these to dictate our path. We let our past mistakes get in the way of what is possible for our future.

What if despite all of these weaknesses and challenges, you were still committed to be the best person you could possibly be?

What if even us “ordinary” people could have a positive influence in the world?

You don’t have to be some super extraordinary genius to offer and share your gifts. You just have to be willing!

You have to be willing to try. You have to be willing to realize and grow you potential.

It’s not about reaching your destination immediately; it’s about staring your journey and not giving up.

The life stories of most extraordinary people didn’t start out with blessings of good fortune and unprecedented talent.

Many of the most incredible figures in history have a very humble beginning!

The genius physicist Albert Einstein was described as a slow learner.

The creative visionary Walt Disney was fired from an early job for lacking imagination!

And countless other amazing people failed numerous times before reaching the level of success they have today.

This is how potential works. It is a process of learning curves, mistakes, and resiliency.

So before you write yourself off as an “Average Joe,” make sure you’re giving yourself a chance!

You have a gift to share with the world! Start taking steps toward your potential today!
