I haven’t been politically active since I worked on a local campaign way back in high school. Thinking back, it sure was exhilarating. I felt like I was doing something important.

And now, way too many years later, I’m sitting here (in the comfort of my own house) making calls, reminding people to get out and vote Tuesday.

It feels great! Most of the folks I’ve talked to are really nice and warm and encouraging. I’ve been at it for only half an hour, and already I know I’ve made a tiny difference.

And I received a very nice thank you e-mail, telling me my efforts mattered and are appreciated.
