After yet another especially hectic week (the school year is almost over, but not quite yet!), it was so great to just have the time this morning for a walk in what was, serendipitously, some gorgeous early summer weather.
It gave me the mental space to appreciate all the lovely tidbits from my week. Here are a few I thought to share with you:
Matt’s new kitten, Nika.
A new album (released 6/15) by one of my favorite artists, Guggenheim Grotto: The Universe is Laughing
This wonderful poem:
O Solitude! If I Must With Thee Dwell
by John Keats
O Solitude! if I must with thee dwell,
Let it not be among the jumbled heap
Of murky buildings: climb with me the steep,—
Nature’s observatory—whence the dell,
In flowery slopes, its river’s crystal swell,
May seem a span; let me thy vigils keep
‘Mongst boughs pavilioned, where the deer’s swift leap
Startles the wild bee from the foxglove bell.
But though I’ll gladly trace these scenes with thee,
Yet the sweet converse of an innocent mind,
Whose words are images of thoughts refined,
Is my soul’s pleasure; and it sure must be
Almost the highest bliss of human-kind,
When to thy haunts two kindred spirits flee.
And this photo of sunlight through the trees on my walk this morning.
Wishing you plenty of little joyful tidbits this weekend!
Please do write in and share some of your own!
