The ADD In ADDiction

Odd that we can be addicted to so many things, but forget to take our meds, eh?

I’m not saying that addiction is the sole domain of ADHD. I’m not saying that you have to have ADHD to have an addiction. I’m not even saying that there is a higher rate of addiction among people with ADHD.

I’m saying I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a higher rate of addiction among people with ADHD.

There are, after all, higher rates of some rather interesting things among us. Why not addiction?

  1. I have to laugh and just say yep. Remembering when I started playing Farmville on Facebook. Very quickly, I owned 5 farms and had a separate FB page for them and I earned everything. I did not spend a dime on it. It took up my whole day and part of the night. I couldn’t cut back so I had to just stop playing all together. Now it’s coloring. I started because it is supposed to ease anxiety. Now I have 6 baskets of various pens, pencils and markers. I color while watching TV. I color even when I am almost weeping with boredom. I color. So Good luck!
